This might be a strange thing to include in this portfolio website, but its too dang sentimental for me to not include. As I was moving out of my house in Los Angeles my roommate asked me if we could make a music video for him and I said “hell yeah.” I took to arranging the house with all the odds-and-ends and strange artifacts left behind by generations of students and other twenty-somethings that have occupied this amazing place. We shot this over about 2 days, during which the weather was just cloudy enough to give me the idea of having him stand outside in different positions so I could create his duplicates without worrying about shadows. Other segments in the video were created by filming at 24fps, swinging the camera at times we rehearsed and cutting with the motion blur. This process was incredibly fun and organic, we made it up on the fly and the end product, while not perfect, is one of my favorite things I’ve ever worked on.
